   But PAHeartland Ltd. doesn't stop there. We also provide health care and nutritional supplies for dogs, cats, goats, sheep, etc.
   PAHeartland Ltd., located near Pottstown, PA was formed in 1992 as a result of the need for quality feed and health care products for potbellied petpigs on the east coast. Initially, petpig clubs were its main consumers later we expanded to non-club customers.
   PAHeartland Ltd., as distributor of Heartland Animal Health, Inc., offers an economical and nutritional complete feed as well as supplements that are manufactured in PA and licensed by the PA Department of Agriculture for continuous quality control. Backed by over 30 years experience in animal nutrition our premium feed and health/grooming/odor control/nutritional supplement products are available for petpigs (from the piglet to senior adult petpig) and other animals. Our staff is available to answer questions about nutrition and management of the petpigs and other animals.
   PAHeartland Ltd. also provides community services in the way of education, research, seminars, and consultations. It has, with staff and finances, supported 4-H and Youth programs on the care and handling of miniature petpigs. Several of PAHeartland Ltd. companion pigs are used in pet therapy programs in local schools, nursing homes, veterans residences and in hospice. On a small scale PAHeartland Ltd. has sponsored rescued pigs, donated feed and other supplies to individuals, who without these resources would lose hope in their ministry to animals, and in animal sanctuaries, as our way of protecting this special species.

Chubbs, a second generation Connell-line miniature pig, turned 15 years of age on November 30, 2004. She was our first potbellied petpig and still is our most precious. Chubbs may have never made it to the show ring but her beauty is beyond compare. 
   Chubbs was part of two important decisions coming from Heartland Animal Health Inc. First, making Heartland feed and products available to the east coast with the formation of PA Heartland Ltd. and the second was, as she aged, the research and production of an elderly line of products for the Senior PetPig.
   About 6 years ago, Chubbs started to show her age and did not want to move about or take part in her favorite pastime, grazing out in the warm sun. She was constantly “resting.” Roger Ashley of Heartland Animal Health Inc. developed the Senior Supplement and then the PetPig Senior Diet feed. Within weeks, Chubbs showed remarkable improvement in functioning with mobility and eagerness to get out and graze. Soon after, Elder-Aide and Elder-Aide GM followed. With the introduction of Elder-Aide GM, Chubbs has never missed a beautiful summer day without grazing and "sun-basking."
   Bella is a show ringer and boy does she know it!! She has enough championship ribbons to prove it. She loves to use the Nosh Ball and her Piggy Pool. 
   Maggie, Bella’s daughter, has devoted her life to her mother’s volunteering — pet therapy. Numerous elderly and handicap people have enjoyed so much in seeing her smiling face.
